Oak monster just jumped out on color and aroma. The butter, oak toast aroma was overpowering to the apple and pear. The tastes was a little high on the alchohol for a Chardonnay. Again the warm apple pie taste was a little overwhelmed by the toasted oak but with a name like toasted head no wonder. Good for after dinner perhaps.

Vertical party. Deeper, more golden color than the '04. A rich, buttery scent, leading to prominent oak and malolactic flavors. Pleasing at the this late time despite having outlived the CT drinking window.

Had with breaded and baked fish. Will make cheese fondue on the 27th or 28th with the rest of it.

Half bottle. An average Chardonnay. Not bad though.
Per www.toastedhead.com:
Aged on its lees, stirring its lees once a week in each barrel for 6 months.
