  • Had over two nights. Very dark but dull, not bright color. At first I thought I would dig it. Later I thought it was falling apart. Night two I liked it more, especially bc it was with dinner, not after. Graphite, oak, plum, fig and walnut. Blind I would have guessed a french Rhone or Bordeaux. Maybe drank a little young?

  • The appearance of this wine is strikingly dark purple, indicating that it has not aged at all.

Upon first sniff, the scent of oak is overpowering, and there are notes of chalk as well. Faintly hidden in the background are some fruity aromas. Regrettably, it seems that the oak treatment was far too excessive and will never fully integrate with the other elements, which is a shame because the underlying scents are truly exquisite and intricate. I am sure the terroir is amazing which makes the insulting oak treatment almost a crime.

On the palate, the wine is characterized by firm, chalky, and drying tannins, along with a hint of fruitiness. This is a wine that will appeal to those who enjoy bold, tannic wines with a heavy oak presence. Definitely not my cup of tee.

  • Dense and dark nose of ripe black fruits, toasted earthy clove, star anise and cinnamon with hints of dark chocolate and gravel stones. Need more time for the aromatics like freshly plucked violet to emerged Palate is compact and tight with tons of fine nuances hidden behind the full-bodied structure for now. Good freshness coming through. Some tannic bites and chalky texture towards the end of the dry but long finish. Too young to drink now. Keep for another 3 years. 91-93 pts.
