Shiny, bright light gold. The nose grabs you - lime, melon, peach, cinnamon. The palate is ripe and intense, but in no way overblown. There’s a controlled tension. The line of acid balanced against the super oak treatment. A bit of baking spice comes through. Brilliant showing.

Stunning. Impactful. Tight and powerful. Give this some time in the decanter to get its best. Lemon and grapefruit, stone fruit arising with time, cashew/oat/vanilla oak. Expensive oak! Precise line and length- crystalline acidity. Just a wonderful Chardonnay.

SLDS March 2021: Blind. Smoky oak, graphite and ash, but has some riper fruit to go with all the swirling smoky notes. Palate tends towards more of the rich style but has good structure and it's a pretty nice package overall.

Riper fruited and less reduction than the 2017 (which we prefer), the palate is reasonably broad/wide/visocus but is also pretty elegant for it, and has good saline acidity
