A classic Valpolicella blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes. These are air-dried for 20 days before pressing, which is somewhat unusual for an entry level Valpolicella DOC. Pale ruby with a purple hue. Tart red cherry, raspberry, fresh herbs, wet stone. No perceptible oak influence from 3-6 months in very large neutral French oak casks. Dry, with high acidity, med tannins and med alcohol (12.5%). Very fresh, crisp and light, it is easily paired with a wide variety of foods. Drink over the next few years, not intended for aging.

Always a winner. This vintage brings a very intersting note of cocoa powder to the wine that plays nicely with the cherries, raspberries and black pepper notes. Mineral driven with great acid.
