Very pleased with this first bottle. While fairly sweet, there was ample complexity from slate and petrol flavors. Excellent with food. Day three remnants of this magnum were simply too sweet to drink alone.

(Monchoff Mosel "Slate" Riesling) Ths is all from Erdener Treppchen fruit. The Monchoff is just a great fun classic Mosel fruity Riesling. Slate, pit fruits, citrus and richly textured are the hallmarks of this wine. The acidity is no slouch either. It was fresh, slightly sweet, invigorating and perfectly balanced. Lovely purity. Labeled "Slate" but is %100 Erdener Treppchen fruit. Just too easy to drink.

Lots of upfront sugar... Solid minerality, needs 2-5 years at least in the bottle to develop

This one was very easy to drink. Off-dry and fruity. Notes of ripe pineapple. The acidity and sweetness definitely balance each other out. B
