nose: This was wound up a slight bit at first but then reveals very pretty tones of roses, dark red fruits, raspberries, and some cherries. Very aromatic and balanced as well.
taste: Medium bodied with medium acidity. Leans towards the more feminine with silky tones of roses, dark red fruits, cherries and a touch of incense on the back end.
overall: This was very impressive considering its original price tag. It was a pop n pour and really opened up after about 30 minutes.

This is my third go at this bottling. I'm pleased to report is was also the best showing yet. The hard edges are receding just a bit more and some nice aromatics and secondary flavors are improving the finish and mouthfeel. I'd say this wine is nicely into it's ideal drinking window.

Upon opening, it had a very nice nose or red fruits and some earth, but the palate was seriously lacking. After a two hour decant, the palate was *greatly* improved. Overall, nicely balanced wine of the traditional Oregon type (i.e., not super rich, heavy, and fruit forward). Goes well with food.

Smoothed out a bit from the last try. Not so much sour cherries but a nice supple palate of red fruit and wonderfully balanced. The only drawback is a clipped finish, but for the price a very nice wine.

Very bright red fruit. Balanced but light weight.
