  • Largely agree with tasting notes of @Mark1npt and @RGCM Gananda (who seems to be a wonderful resource for all things Chanin). It needs a good hour to open up, and hides the moderate plus alcohol (13.5) well. Complex, with a wonderful melange of flavors and textures going on. Paired very well with Thai food (Masaman curry & Pad Thai), but would work just as well drinking by itself. I got a deal recently on two bottles. Now I’m wishing I’d bought more.

  • A one off bottle to try to finish out my case for shipping. Pnp'd and best in the first 45 min. Strong florals and lemon zest, some green apple, also quince, maybe(?), and a hint of vanilla, but best of all a beautiful riveting acidity that brings the wine to life. Just a hint of oak in the background. This also has a wonderful elongated mouthwatering finish given the acidity. Levels off to a 90 or so after one hour.......worth its $40 tariff the first hour, maybe $30 the second? Cuts through the spicy artisanal garlic in the Caesar salad like a knife.......very Burgundian. Salinity shows up later......maybe moving it back up to a 92 and its $40 price point, yet again.

  • Prior bottle was only 5 months ago so my notes were quite similar. Earth and touch of oak/vanilla and white orchard fruit notes on the nose. Medium bodied with a mix of white orchard fruit notes throughout, backed with lemon, other citrus notes and acidity. There a touch of creamy oak with a bit of vanilla towards the back which actually works well with the mid-body fruit. There's a real roundness and depth to the mid-body which contrasts well with the citrus and acidity behind. The overall fruit definition felt slightly more in focus with this bottle. Should continue to improve as it opens up and I'll plan to open my next bottle in June/July 2023.

  • Whiff of banana initially that blew off.
Generous ripe peach/citrus fruit, lowish acid (to me). Easy to drink and on the rich end of the Chard spectrum. A crowd pleaser for company, and no flaws, but I prefer more acid and stones personally.

  • White orchard fruit notes (especially apple and pear) along with light oak and some creaminess on the nose. Medium bodied with good, open white orchard fruit notes both upfront and through the middle. Depth through the middle makes a nice contrast to the acidity, notable lemon and light oak notes through the finish. Overall, the combination of orchard fruit notes and lemon/acidity worked well together with the oak helping to tie some of the elements in. Should continue to open up and improve and I may open my next bottle in November 2022.
