  • Brought this wine to a BYOB restaurant in central Massachusetts and paired it with Vietnamese food. Looking back on my previous note, I had this wine almost 1 year ago to the date.

Still a really big fan of this wine. Drinks very much like a Chablis versus a big powerful California chardonnay. The palate is rich with notes of stone fruit, lemon butter, and some ever small hints of oak. The palate is still rich, good acidity, and a decent finish. My previous note still applies, has not changed much over the 1 year, but feel that it has started its gentle decline. Rather interesting I tasted a hint of wet cardboard towards the tail end of the bottle when it had been at room temperature for ~1 hour. Was a little off putting, but nonetheless quite enjoyable. If you have this wine, drink up.

  • A very Burgundian wine for the New World, and especially for California. Great minerality, notes of acacia, wildflower, citrus. Wonderful balance. Judicious use of oak. Terrific.

  • Punches above its weight, citrus fruit verging on tropical with nice acid and mineral component. Drinking well with greater balance than I anticipated.

  • Pop and pour. I poured this wine into the glass and allowed it to develop over the next hour.

Visually it appears a very light yellow, almost like a sav blanc. However, on the nose it shows lots of creamed butter, meyer lemons, granny smith apples, and hints of almond. Really pleasant.

When this wine was served cool, it was rather subdued, however, when it warmed up to room temperature it really was flavorful and elegant. Good acidity, nice warm taste, and a decent finish. This wine reminds of drinking a nice young white Burgundy. It definitely has the structure and "oomph" to stand up to France. This wine is probably just reaching its peak now, and will continue to reward you if you drink it over the next 5 years.

  • Notes of citrus, apple & coconut; really like this as it warms. I would definitely buy again if I could find it.
