We gave this a quick decant and served this with Friday night pizza/pasta. Interesting blend of mainly Merlot, with smaller percentages of Petit Verdot and 10% Sangiovese. The Agricola is in San Casciano, southeast of Firenze in the Chianti Colli Fiorentini zone. Aged in a combo of tonneaux and barriques. It's drinking well right now, with smooth tannins and the oak is nicely integrated. Not sure I’d have paired it with pizza/pasta had I known that Sangiovese was only 10% of the blend, but it paired well!

Aromatic, mature berry, tar, raisin, and tomato paste nose. Full, assertive palate with very good flavour replays; long, rich, warming finish.
