Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 94 points

  • Rich in color, the wine is dark and smoky. The wine is powerful, balanced, full-bodied, fresh, and deep, with a lean to the dark berry side of the style range with its plethora of blackberries, black plums, and earthy, salty, black cherries. There is volume, length, depth, and freshness with a smoke-filled personality on the nose and palate. From vines planted in the higher elevation of the Cote Brune with a rock and schist terroir, the grapes are partially whole bunch fermented, with close to 40% of the fruit being destemmed. The wine is aged in neutral oak for close to 24 months before bottling. Drink from 2026-2045.
