Nose: dried blackberry, earthy minerality. Palate: Prickly ripe blackberries, fine grained tannins, warming hug as it finishes with a bit of savoriness (walnut perhaps?); a pretty and simple wine that is well-balanced and has everything in place; but doesn't really wow in any way.

Bu au chalet de François. Jeune et fringant, un peu austère. Intense et ample. Des mures et du poivre avec des olives et du bacon. Finale assez longue et capiteuse. Très bien.

Deep purple in the glass. Strong aromatics of blackcurrant, plum, black pepper and baking spices. Really powerful on the nose as is on the palate, but showing great balance. Long, slightly tannic finish. Good stuff.

Notably lighter and paler in appearance, redder. A fresh nose that feels markedly lighter with a gaminess, some rusticity and attractive farmyard aromas. Distinctive, showing some sour red elements, fine touches of smoke and a perfumed peppery quality. The palate has a wonderful texture, with layers of red fruits matched with lots of savoury flavours, a juiciness to the acidity and a hint of leaf matter. Complex and playful, very elegant with a silky vein and a fine mineral thread and very fine tannins.

Inky dark, deep earthy brambly fruit, black olive / roasted nuts and olives classic Cote Rotie.. Wayy too young but nice!
