Sublime. A bit of pepper and mustiness on the nose. Dark berries, currant, and tar. Barry White Smooth. Still complex. Finishes dry. I could drink this every night without getting tired of it.
I decanted it and it was fantastic right away. I’d love more.

This was a magical bottle of the Tempest. Winebid purchase and generously shared by my friend Tmud, we opened about an hour before dinner and didn’t decant. Probably should have as the last few glasses were really marvelous.
Dark ruby with faint bricking, some secondary characteristics were coming through on the nose. Notes of saddle leather, dried fruit, red plum, bouquet garni. Really nice example of an integrated wine. Fruit is still present but all melded together, and not explosive or OTT. Clearly a Napa profile but there’s a lovely Bordelais quality at this point. Good for at least 5 more years IMO

Drinking great PnP. No real need to decant. Watch the cork ours did crumble.
