Very Good++ / Excellent- Concurring with EANTNAY's March 2023 TN. Pretty wine with a rustic bent, mid-weight. Paired well with a red shellfish sauce pasta dish. Very easy to drink!

This has a very pleasant, medium-bodied profile. Smooth, berry and sour cherry flavors with tea-like notes on the nose and palate. Despite its character leaning a little to the mature side, fine tannins keep it lively. I wouldn’t wait much longer to drink this.

Wow! Complex nose of fruit, flowers & herbs, with some earthiness & hint of smoke leaping out of the glass. Deep red color, dark cherry flavors with sweet tannin. An Etna Rosso on the fuller bodied end of the spectrum. Paired with Spanish chorizo, shrimp & tomato squid ink pasta. The wine played perfectly with the heat & smoked paprika in the chorizo.

My first Nerello & Etna Rosso. Not quite what I was expecting. Very light, tawny edges, great acidity. Prune on the nose, palate fresh cherry and tea. Good with food. Not a re-buy but interesting.

Light ruby fading to orange with a clear watery rim. Raspberry, leather, basalmic, and oolong tea on the nose. The plate has medium body, grippy tannins, medium acidity, cherry and strong mineral streak leading to a medium-long finish.
One of the best Narello Mascalese I have had, and I am a fan. Drink now through 2028. Strongly recommended.
