This has gotten pretty funky with age. Still has a very green streak on opening but now with some barny, earthy elements. After being open for 12 hours, the wine settled down. It has some nice energy and structure at age 14. I would never guess it to be that old.

Agree with slaton: An odd wine. Greenish "screechy" nose as slaton says. Some juicy fruit in the mid palate with a green streak. then mouth coating astringent tannins. Interesting but not so pleasurable.

Hazy red. The nose has an strong element which borders on the medicinal. There is also a touch of earth. Tart cherries on the palate, good mineral back bone and cutting acidity. The finish is brief and pleasant. The wine evolved positively over two days. 2 more remain. I imagine this would work well as the table with richer fatty foods.

Medium ruby. Somewhat inexpressive at first, but shows some barely satisfying earthiness with air. Downright voluptuous for bojo, and almost (but just almost) too fat at the end. I'd treat this differently at the table than a more typical cru beaujolais.

sfwine: Cru Beaujolais (San Francisco): Very weird and screechy, green nose. Juicy cherry and raspberries on the palate, with medium(+) acidity, and good minerality. A little green. Mouthcoating tannins, quite astringent. Disappointing, but better on day 2. Chalky, lean cherry and purple fruits, good minerality. Lingering flavor of cherry cough syrup.
