German Riesling Grosses Gewächs & co 2005 (AuZone, Stockholm): Nose with citrus, zest, spices, developed notes with petroleum as well as some rubber hose. Palate with citrus and zest, a rather good concentration, rather good acidity (but not really high for a Riesling), spices, and a not very long aftertaste. Good wine, still sticks together, 86 p. Since this is the simplest wine in Christmann’s range, and not really intended for extended cellaring, it was better than expected.

Light bodied, restrained nose of citrus. This was certainly dry but the fruit and acid levels were a little too muted for my liking. I just don't think I like dry QbA's because the fruit probably does not attain a suitable ripeness level to achieve optimal body and flavors when fermented till dry. I will go with minimum of spatlese levels in my dry styled rieslings from now on.
