  • This is an interesting one. Pale yellow colour. Light crisp lemon sorbet, jasmine, very weak honey and almonds nose. Zingy lemon lime freshness on first taste, very tart green apples, very acidic and highly bracing. Interesting and I felt I would not like it because it was way more acidic and brisk than I would normally like in a Riesling. However, I persevered and I found more depth and flavour coming through. As Jancis R notes, it is not talc powder like many average Rieslings, it seems to have much more than that. The crisp sharp definition is there and I really do wonder what some more years of bottle age will do to this with all that acidity. If it goes the right way and it supports the underlying fruit and the honeyed depth comes out it could be very good.

  • Pale lemon in the glass. Beautiful typicity on the nose with notes of meadow flowers in the morning sun, peach, green apple, lime. Light-bodied, zippy, bursts of green apple and citrus fruit on the palate. Wonderful liveliness and superb finish. Just a Riesling I'd want to drink all day. Top!
