  This is the entry-level Lagrein wine (indigenous Tyrolean grape varietal) of the Klosterkellerei Muri-Gries (Benedictine Monastery, city of Bozen, South Tyrol). An attractive wine made for earlier consumption. It spent six months in large oak barrels (30–50 hl). Deep purple red in color and an aromatic bouquet of violets, cranberries, dark chocolate and hints of tobacco and black pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate displays ample plum and red forest fruit, quite a velvety texture and a good balance between acidity and tannins. Harmonious finish. A good match to red meat and game dishes. Drinking window: now–2024.
  
  De standaard Lagrein-wijn (autochtone Tiroolse druivensoort) van de Klosterkellerei Muri-Gries (Benedictijner klooster in de stad Bozen, Zuid-Tirol). Een aantrekkelijke wijn gemaakt om jong gedronken te worden. Hij verbleef zes maanden in grote eiken vaten (30–50 hl). Diep paarsrood van kleur en een aromatisch bouquet van viooltjes, veenbessen, donkere chocolade en nuances van tabak en zwarte peper. Een redelijk krachtige wijn met heerlijk pruimen- en rood bosfruit, met een vrij fluwelige textuur en een degelijke balans tussen aciditeit en tannines. Harmonieuze afdronk. Een goede begeleider van rood vlees en wildgerechten. Te drinken: nu–2024.
