Several days later from memory, so notes will be sparse. I wonder about the etymology of the Italian tasting term "morbido," which I believe means soft, as in texture. Does it derive from the same root as morbid in English? I hope it doesn't connote disease, death or decay in some way, unless maybe drinking yourself to death, ie killing me softly? LOL.
The key aspect of this wine that sticks in my memory was the textural quality of "morbido". Fresh, soft, fragrant with dark fruits and floral notes. Didn't seem to have a lot of acid but it wasn't flabby either. A delicious, easy drinking rendition of lagrein.

RussK. smells like a Young Gamey or Rhone villages. Tastes much the same. A bit of bitterness in the finish.

RussK. smell not that great. Smells and tastes like a cru beaujolais, but with a slightly bitter finish. Might go better with food.

Interesting wine. More tannin than fruit. Terroir. Drank with pizza. Enjoyed wine. Not high in alcohol.OK bouquet.
