This continues to impress me. Pretty fruity with apricot jam, spicey layers and just that whiff of saffron that would lead you to Sauternes in a blind tasting context. Slightly creamy on the palate, but there is also fresh air to the otherwise firmly structured build.

By the glass at Napa Grill , Zurich. A nice offering from the sommelier to finish a great wine dinner. Late Harvest and Botrytis mix here and blind we would say young Sauternes. Bright and energetic , good apricot and honey notes , well mannered oak. Lovely fresh feel at this stage too. Very Good.

Honey, candid peach, apricot and quince with an amazingly fresh herbal dimension to it. No saffron this time round, however. Creamy and incredibly soft palate while managing to produce the necessary freshness and acidity. This is such an outstanding Sauternes alternative – still can't quite believe this is actually from Napa.

Tasted blind. Very Sauternes-like profile with saffron, forest honey, yellow apple, candid stone fruit and ripe mango. A bit of spice, caramelized nuts and a whiff of roasted coffee bean. Sweet but not too sweet on the palate, harmonious with a quite creamy texture. This lacks the refinement and precision of Yquem, but other than that easily keeps up with the very best Sauternes has to offer, in my view.

Boytritised 100% Semillion. Outstanding and ready to drink. Honeyed mango. Very well done for Sauternes lovers!
