Getting better. Still drinking a little young after a couple of hours decanted. Not regretting opening it, but I will wait another year before popping the other two I have.

Now opaque ruby in color, Turley's 2019 Old vines Zinfandel continues to offer a core of dark bramble fruit that is accented with blueberries, apricots and dried herbs. Medium-to-full-bodied, lightly oaked and with silky-textured tannins, its lofty 15.2% alcohol stays well-integrated and the mid-palate remains dense. Long and lifted on the finish, this is a terrific Zinfandel that demonstrates the art of blending from different vineyard sources. This particular bottle was decanted through a Vinturi aerator and serially sampled over the ensuing 2-3 hours. Give it an hour or so of air if possible. Drink now-2026.

Dependable. Always puts a smile on Carole's face.
Rasp and Cherry a bit stronger now that we are drinking these earlier.
