Red-brown color, spices, burned notes, prune, still juicy, powerful, excellent shape, veyr nice, but very sweet, and 17.1% alc. Ah, those late 90's wines did not hold back. Still, very good for being so souped up. Brian's Turley tasting at Monopole

This is still drinking really well. After days in the bottle, it still has a lovely piercing brambly fruit that I associate with zinfandel. I really do think that (at least some) of the Turley wines can last a while. Some nice raising and prune, along with hints of wood and spices.

Sadly, this was barely drinkable. The cork split as I opened it, and the sediment was a mess. Improved after about an hour in the decanter, but still not anything special or even worth talking about. Done and done.

Cork also split in two as we were pulling it. A bit too sweet for my taste. It lacks integration and balance at this point. Drink up.
