Drink up. Danke NTP für diesen Tropfen!

  • Champagne Evening (Beverly-Bietigheim): Glass: Zalto Universal
Clear, medium, youthful golden color. Clean, medium intense, fully developed nose. Some smoke, herbs, tiny bit oxidized notes, yellow stone fruit, crushed stones. Deep and dense.
Wonderful integrated, medium+/high acidity, only 11% abv. It can’t deny its 34 years of age and the rather complicated vintage, but this is a perfectly stored bottle. Herbaceous, some yellow stone fruit in the back, smoke, very mineral and salty. Dense, good balance, structure and pressure. All components are still integrated, nothing has fallen apart. Finish is medium+, very mineral, smoky and salty. What a wonderful surprise and experience! Aged in dignity. Drink now, no potential. 91-92

  • Gregor Breuer Tasting (Villa Merton, 1 Michelin Star, Frankfurt): Glass: Schott Zwiesel White wine
Popped and poured. Clear, deep golden color. Nose driven by some tertiary notes, smoke, some cellar mold.
Dry, ripe, high and still wonderfully integrated acidity. Great mineral core, good balance. It has some noticeable signs of ageing that clearly signals “past peak”. Nevertheless, this was an amazing experience, which can’t be rated objectively. 86-88
