  • Straw golden. Nose is rich! Almost a Riesling-like petrol, with floral and pineapple/lychee. On the palate - wow! Immediately apparent that a rich acidic flow rushes all corners of the palate, again pineapple. The acid is a bright fresh pleasant surprise given the nose. Winner of the night.

  • The 2019 Baudoin is a slightly more focused and dry animal when compared to its brother Bournais (by design), which tends to be slightly sweeter and richer by comparison. The Baudoin displays refreshing lime, lychee, and lemon verbena notes, with just the slightest kiss of Riesling GG-esque body, finishing aptly dry. Youth is keeping this from a full drop of depth and viscosity, but it’s already a welcome addition to a Chilean sea bass with lime and basil pesto dish. Serve refrigerator-cold for best results, which helps to maintain focus and tension.

  • Shows more complexity layers than the Le Bornais.

Much too young but already enjoying.
