Another stellar bottle that was a crowd favorite at a gathering with friends. Beautiful blend that has bright fruit, energy, complexity and a tasty/lasting finish. Really glad I found Turtle Rock wines.

Two hour decant. Deep dark electric purple magenta color. Red plum, blackberry, limestone, and cocoa on the nose. Smooth, dry palate, with nice, lingering acidity and a pleasant citrusy undertone. Firm tannins on the medium long finish. 52% Syrah, 23% Grenache, 20% Mataro, 5% Tempranillo
This has an Old World Vibe. It’s already very good, but there’s still room for improvement with more age.

Red cherries, cranberries, red plums, chalk, dirt/earth, black pepper. Pretty mineral driven overall. And, like others have said, very old world style for Paso. To my palate, this is what Paso should make. Tight; but showing great structure. A lot of potential here Try it again in two years.

Splash double decant. Deep, dark, slightly hazy magenta color. Cranberry, black cherry, orange rind, lavender, and subtle sage and cornmeal. Dry, plush, almost chewy palate, with fine, dusty acidity. Full, lower intensity tannins on the longish finish. 52% Syrah, 23% Grenache, 20% Mataro, and 5% Tempranillo
Very prominent citrus notes, which was a pleasant surprise. Turtle Rock is made by someone who learned their craft at Saxum. Great mouthfeel.

Bright and fruity with moderate tannins. Would probably benefit from another year or two in the bottle.
