Decant for 3 hours and needed more time. Recommend 5-6 hour decant Have always enjoyed this grape with a duck meal and all the flavours are there if opening is extended.

Opened two days ago and decanted for an hour. Rebottled and left in fridge. Decanted for 2hrs today.
Consistent with previous notes. Extra air bumped the score. Great fruit with herbal and mineral notes. Tons of grip even with tons air acid balances it out. Can go another 10 years plus.

Very grippy. Red and black fruit with black tea and herbal notes. Improved greatly with air. Score based on initial impressions. Expect this to still improve. Going to get a couple of bottles on close out to enjoy with seared duck breast.

Earthy aromas after the initial pop and pour, then perfume cardamom, plum, cherry, oak, leather and bell pepper. Palate was the same with hint of dusty tannins that was tamed by the acidity. Almost had a mineral like finish at the end but the cardamom bumps it out of the way at the last second. But with some time in the glass the cardamom also gets bumped, but this time by cassis. This wine is drinking well now, good food wine.
