One of the best wines I've ever tasted. Garnet/brick in color, purple rim, medium legs. Decanted 3 hours. Nose opened up with a strong black cherries, black raspberries, and Logan berries, with a background of smoke and old growth forest floor. Dark fruits on the palate, with sufficient acidity to provide a crisp and bright pinot. Tanins were silky-smooth, with a lingering fruit and smoke finish. Drank father's day with BQ salmon. Terrific wine; well worth waiting for.

Violet red. Huge, beautiful nose of violets, blue fruit and spice. Very beguiling aromatics. Tannins are completely rsolved, but acidity still holds the wine together. Very elegant on the palate, with dark Shea ftuit and spice, perhaps a hint of more ripeness than I care for, however the remaining acidity holds it together. Medium finish. Definitely time to drink up. Not a complex wine, but very enjoyable with a meal nonetheless.

Still holding up well. Aromas and palate filled with dark fruits, smoke and forest floor, tanins softened by age.

This wine was vibrant and still full of fruit and had enough grip left to avoid being overly round.

Hardy, lush, losts of dark fruits. Exhibits how well 98 Oregon Pinots continue to hold up.
