Hmm initial massive disappointment, nothing like a sangiovese... my bad! It's a bordeaux blend, so makes a hell of a lot more sense. decent quality, good steak wine but i still prefer bordeaux in this case.

PnP and followed for a few hours. Red and black cherries, blueberries, citrus rind, green herbs, damp earth, and graphite on the slightly shy nose. Red cherries, plums, tart cherries, earth, herbs, and hint of aged barrel on the palate. Tart acidity, fine but quite present tannins, moderate finish. There's some bitterness that fades after 30 minutes or so. Overall, I really liked this. It was interesting, fun to drink, and great with food.

Color: Medium ruby. Nose: A bit subdued. Slightly fruity. Mouth: Medium bodied. Slightly bitter finish. Some cherries and red currents. Good expressiveness and length. Better after some aeration.

Appearance: Fine crimson red, not very reflective, leaves a thin residue on the glass with small bubbles
Aroma: Spices and red fruits, tickles the nose lightly, pomegranate and dark cherry, watermelon
Texture: VERY dry, lingers long on the front of the tongue, heavy, grainy texture that washes past quickly
Taste: Texture covers up a lot of the taste for me, will revisit some day, but definitely has the lingering taste of stone fruits
This wine is a cold, stone cellar with a dirt floor, the wooden door holding you in leading not to freedom but to a labyrinth of cold stone walls. There's a spark of warmth in you, leading you forwards.

Smelling pretty great. Nice and tart. Good mouthfeel and red fruits. Pretty good value.
