  Showing a little bit fat and round tonight, was looking for more acidity.

  Immediately out of the bottle this was all acid (great acidity btw!) but very little fruit -- just wound up super tight and basically shut down. I did a quick double decant and let it sit for an hour and even after that it was still not particularly expressive. By hour 2 though the richness of the fruit started to really come through and you could finally get a sense of how dense and robust this wine is -- it just needs a bit more time and/or plenty of air to show it. I've really enjoyed a lot of Antoine Jobard's wines, and while this bottle was delicious it was far from being one of my favorites. I def think it'd be worth revisiting in a few years though when it's had more time to come together.
