Dang, this is good village juice. While still very youthful, it is drinking great now. A great deal at $70. Different from the Brewer Clifton I had earlier in the day, this has a true terroir. Both are Burgundian in style, but the latter has earth and minerals.

Clear red ruby, classic gevrey nose with strawberries, candied cranberries, forrest floor, underbrush, tobacco hints and pepper. Palate is medium with tannins slightly sharp and perhaps needing more integration, improving with air, savory red fruit with peppery finish. Should improve to 92-93 pts in a few years.

Vibrantly iridescent clear crimson- ready clean nose of crystalline strawraspberry with some distant cinnamon/clove/anise - energetic silk mouthfeel- clean finish with faint pleasing bitter edge

Darker translucent ruby. Nose of sharp ripe berry, heady violets, fertile earth, iron ore. Layers of exuberant primary raspberry and black cherry fruit cut with iron granules and rich earth on the youthful but elegant palate. Driving acidity and firm tannin subsumed by drenching fruit. Long finish of deep plum and berry fruit, integrated earth, and iron. Wow this is good.

Excellent village wine which is interesting to me because the Duroche 2019 Gevrey village is also outstanding. The concentration is what stands out more than anything. Layers of juicy dark fruit. The is just downright delicious and easily 1er quality.
