By the bottle at Brat x Climpson’s Arch in London. Slightly herby nose, lemon oil, underripe kiwi and starfruit. Palate is definitely high acid but the mouth is quite full so it’s really nicely balanced. More green tropical fruits, lemon jam, long lemony finish. Very nice. Great with the chicken rice and giant crab.

A rich and powerful Aligoté. Quite different from many others I’ve had. It’s really, really good! Would work incredibly well with oysters.
Highly expressive on the nose offering lots of ripe green apples, lemon, white currant, white tea, clear leesy notes, ocean breeze and a strong chalky scent. Some malolactic notes too, but not overtaking the minerals and the fruit. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, dry, having a refreshing medium acidity and a sick, sick minerality! Again, green apple, sour green gooseberries, yellow bitter grapefruit, lemon and white pepper. There’s a mild green, grippy touch from the stems and a leesy creaminess. Super chalky and saline in the finish.

Bocca meglio del naso. Calendula, camomilla, ortica, zagara. Bocca ampia e slanciata, fresca, leggera morbidezza cremosa sul finale a livello aromatico

Straw coloured; a little skin contact? phenolics, haunting bouquet, crisp, snappy, direct, lovely bitter edged twist. A smart finish.

Young but good. Nice fruit and freshness. Doesn’t quite have energy of previous vintages. Maybe give it a year or two.
