  I don't know what is going on, but I have had 4 of these bottles and twice I thought they were very good and twice I was disappointed.

  Peppery noise with a hint of volatile acetate that isn't offending me. A bit more accessible after an hour in the decanter. This wine has a viscous mouth-feel and lots of black fruit and wood. Some undertones of clove spice. Drinking really pleasantly right now. EDIT: After 24 hrs. this wine is really opening up, with hints of red fruit and a spicy round tannin structure.

  Not as good as a bottle tasted a couple years ago but still quite drinkable. Has some complexity and has harmonized all the different grapes in the blend but at this point not worth the $ originally paid at purchase. Still...the leafy tannins/acids carry on and don't get in the way of the NY strip steak that went with it

  Oaky, forward red fruits, then some more oak. Parker would be all over this. Redeemed by its complexity and decent length on the finish.
