Thinking about buying more to lay down in light of the 95 rating from Dunnuck but wanted to get an idea where it’s at first. Slow ox during the day for around eight hours and decanted for a couple more, however, that wasn’t enough - the fruit came across somewhat closed/not overly expressive. Dark ruby fruit - currants, blackberry, and dark cherry. Smooth-palate with solid depth/concentration. However, once again it came across somewhat closed/not overly expressive. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep. I’ll refrain from rating this bottle because it needs more time as expected. In my opinion, most of Mike’s 2019 cabs need another year or two. We’ll see how this bottle evolves over the next couple days. According to the winemaker, allow 2-3 years for the tannins and fruit to come together which makes sense. 100% cab.

. dark red color wine, big fruit, needs time to open up. I would decant or leave open for at least an hour. I would hold for another few years Cheers
