Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • I got this bottle at a local store for $4! Saying hey what's $4 for a really acclaimed Oregon PN producer and a well aged bottle of wine, I bought a bottle. I was hoping for a really nice, well aged PN but was expecting plunk (as anyone how bought a $4 PN would) Anyways, to my jubilation, not only was this NOT plunk, it was a beautiful wine just at the peak of its maturity. Lacked concentration, but it made up for it in style. A bit bricked out, but still nice deep red in the middle. Cooked cherries, some spice and plenty of earth on the nose. cherry and strawberry unfolded from the wine, only to quickly blow off into some minerals, a little spice and nice texture. Best $4 I ever spent on a bottle of wine!
