  • This one is a blend of 90% sangiovese and 10% cabernet sauvignon that is produced entirely off the estate vineyard and aged 12 months in oak. The earthy nose offered some fungal notes along with plum, cassis, currant, and violet. The sturdy and broad tannins framed a highly structured wine, thankfully elevated by juicy acid. The profile included lots of similarly earth-forward flavors along with a nice note of blood orange. This really shined on the palate, and is one I’d like to enjoy over a long evening in 2027.

  • Russk. Tasted at Gambero Rosso. Soft and accessable. I enjoyed both this and the non-Riserva from this producer. Get some. Note the "Storia di Famiglia" designation on the label. 90+
