Color: pale straw. Nose: melons, floral notes, a hint of riesling gasoline. Taste: Dry, good acidity, some viscosity and length. Melons plus a little lemon.

DAWGS March 2010 - Alsace and Alsace Varietals (WineWave's house in McKinney, TX): WIML87? Tasted at an offline. No notes taken so general impressions from memory only. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Subdued nose of a mix of yellow fruits that carries through to the palate. Light acidity and body. Drink now.

nice $4 bottle. Kind of generic Alsatian style, with the blend of grapes precluding much individual varietal character coming through. But still stylish with a weeknight dinner.

NOT a bad wine--78 seems low, but it really is just average--not bad! Nose of a little perfume & pear, palate is the same, then finish with a little citrus & bitter / green melon. Kinda short finish, decent weight, kinda low acid. Did not get in the way of grilled veggies, shrimp, & squid. I wouldn't call it good, but it's not below average...it's just a pedestrian wine.

Pale yellow color. Mineral nose. Tastes of pear, melon and apple. Good acidity. Pleasant finish but quite simple.
