1977 Delaforce VP. Pale color. Very simple dried cherries and licorice. Well past it’s best days but not off putting. Just simple and uninspiring. Drink them if you have them. 84 points.

One of the nicest mature vintage ports. I enjoyed more than 63,66 I had. Cork intact and crystal clear light toffee colour. Spirit has fully softened so it has no hint of an edge and a wonderful mouth feel. Caramel and toffee characteristics. Wish I had another :-(

This was spectacular and far more than I'd hoped for given some of the reviews over the past few years. Opened it as a birth-year treat and it's aging better than me!
Cork came out in three pieces using an ah-so. Pours a cloudy translucent almost greyish color and then settles into more of a tawny appearance in the glass. It's taken on tawny accents of nuts and toffee, but the core is pure red fruit and candied flowers. Relatively light texture and so, so smooth. Finish is long and delicate, with the alcohol well-integrated.
An elegant wine that for me was both special and memorable.

Beautiful Christmas cake - raisin, honey, nuts but still light and fresh with citrus notes.

Nutmeg, sweet caramel, prunes. Showing its alcohol, long red fruit finish. Enjoyable.
