  • Stunning. I had a lot of Becker wines since this is my favourit vinyard from Rheingau, but this one is exceptional. Almost balsamic, beside it is bone dry as all Becker dry Riesling. This is my stuff, 95 is a cautious rating, i am completely flashed. It is super intense, I think this bottle will last a long way. 1/6

  • Fantastic. Vinolok closure under the capsule. 24 hour slow ox and served lightly chilled with roast goose, potato dumplings, and braised red cabbage for Christmas Eve dinner. Deeper golden/straw color than I was expecting. Nose of petrol, bruised apples, pears, marzipan. All of that on the palate with the addition of slate/minerality and lemons as it warmed up in the glass. Medium plus body, some viscosity and weight. Balanced acidity that was not overpowering. Smallest hint of residual sugar maybe, or is that floral sweetness? Either way it’s just a pleasure to drink and at $32/bottle I will be buying more. Can’t wait to try this in 10-15 years. 92-93++.

  • Anfangs sehr verschlossen und straff, blüht der Wein nach einer Woche offen richtig auf. Rheingau typische, stahlige Eleganz und Strahlkraft, dezente Frucht, guter Grip. Hat ein sehr langes Leben vor sich!

  • Deeper yellow straw; nose shows a lot more flesh, yellow apple and golden pear, Mirabelle, ripe and round but not tropical in any way, musky mineral and earth combo, less defined than previous bottle, broad and viscous on the palate, very Rheingau in that aspect, seemingly blousy but tethered by a firm mineral, almost Alsatian in style for me, good but not as profound as previous bottle.

  • Straw with golden hue. This is quite ready from the start but benefits of course with airtime in the glas or bottle. Intense and complex nose with grapefruit, mirabelle, apple, flint, flowers. On the palate intense as well and with already great harmony with refreshing acidity. 96 points from Suckling and 93-94 in other vintages from the WA (Stephan Reinhardt). 5/13/17/10 This seems convincing and outstanding to me as well. Drinkable now, but with two decades to go if cellared at textbook conditions. - 2040
