90 min decant; tasting notes are dead on my previous note. Really outstanding wine that has come a long way since my first bottle. Happy I went heavy on this one, and will wait a bit on the last 2.

We tasted 3 of the QEDs, the 2020, 2018, and 2009. I only took notes for the 2018, which was our favorite. The 2020 was still young and I don't recall the 2009.

90 min decant on day 1, and it served the wine well. Lots of smoke and grilled meat flavors, with iodine, espresso and dark chocolate. This wine has evolved a long way since my first tasting...really impressive stuff! Super happy to have another 3 bottles to follow over the next 5-10 years. Drink now - 2033.

Decanted 90 min, but still pretty tight on day 1. Notes from day 2. Still showing firm tannin, with juicy blackberry fruit, baking spice, white pepper, and vanilla latte flavors. Really tasty stuff that really needs another couple of years to open up. Drink 2023 - 2033.

This is tasty stuff. Still quite young, so it needs some air to really show. When it does, you get layers of black fruit, tobacco, spice, funk, and minerality. Big bodied with strong tannins and a long finish.
