This wine was ok. It's inexpensive, but boring, one dimensional and I think my palate has changed over the past decade. At least it's changed enough to discern a cab which presents as a cab, has the right character for a cab, but can tell when it's not a multi-layered cab....and when it is, and isn't, interesting enough for me to go buy it again.
Addendum - on day 2, it opened somewhat, ...
Unless I'm buying for my quaffing buddies, then, this works fine... Like many others do
And for under $20 CAD ( about a buck in USD 😂) it's perfect for those kind of events.
Dry Alcohol high Acid med Tannins medium/ integrated/ on day 2 more prevalent Viscosity- medium
Can't drink Diamond Creek every day it seems. Too bad for me!
I'm certain there's a million cabs or blends in this category. I'm staying away from the entire " genre"" in the future.
Examples to which to move... Rhone Syrah or Spain Tempranillo. Much more interesting, with at least the same value.
PS- Drink The Rainbow!!
