  • Drank w a group at John's house. Decanted off sediment for 1h then back into bottle. Note is 4h after decant. Aromas of some varnish that eventually dissipated through the night, dried cherries, herbs, mushrooms and earth. Lovely dried cherries on palate with mushrooms, woody bark, herbs, and some sous bois. Elegant mouthfeel with excellent acids and mild tannins. Medium body. Lovely finish of dried fruits, bark and earth. Surprised at how well this drank. Never knew that poulsard can age this long. Absolutely lovely. WOTN for many in the group.
