Golden yellow in the glass with mild aromas of lemons and green apples. On the palate, a bit disappointing as flavors at front and med palate very muted. Acidity was modest.

This (L12005) is a great Soave with a great QPR, and only 12% ABV, will buy again. The wine is full of character and personality, with white fruit and floral aromas, a medium+ body, good acid structure and a very mineral mid-palate and finish. This can work for cocktails but is better with food.

Very fine example of Soave - Italy's flagship "chardonnay killer". Nose of tropical fruits, pears and apples wrapped in oily, bees-waxy aromas. The fruit-forward palate mirrors. Mouthfeel is clean and an easy-drinking type of crisp. Light in body with medium density of flavor. Medium finish with a touch of mild spiciness. Best when well-chilled. *100% Garganega. *Suavia winery founded in 1982 by Giovanni and Rosetta Tessari; currently run by their daughters. *Suavia offers 6 wines: 2 Garganega Soave DOC, 1 oaked Garganega classified as Veronese IGT, 1 Garganega Recioto DOCG, and 2 wines featuring Trebbiano. *As with many of its contemporaries, Suavia chooses to bottle under DOC vs DOCG classification to produce wines with a lower alcohol level and by no means is it indicative of a lower quality level.

[Restaurant purchase] very enjoyable soave; pear, some tropical fruit, typical Italian white bitterness in the medium finish
