Taste pretty darn good. Actually kinda classically styled. Not too much oak, not too much ripeness. Tasty and lively, just opened, betcha it gets better and better.

This is my third Poggio Antico Madre, and my least favorite. I let this baby sit in a decanter for three hours before I poured. My first impression was not very good. Tobacco, tar, and earth is what I tasted. I sipped it over a three evening period, and I did not detect any improvement. Is it worth $50 a bottle? No way!

On day two and still showing a classic Tuscan profile to it. Structure with acidity and tannins, that ride above the fruit character.
