Bottle One: Black fruit and mocha on nose immediately upon opening and pouring without decant. Deicious right out of the gate. Fruit forward for first thirty minutes then gave way to more balanced expression with noticeable tannins. Vaccuum sealed 2/3 of bottle in fridge til following night. Wine was more integrated, nose muted but tannins softer and fruit softer too but still present on day two. Day one it drank like a bigger Cali cab, day two it drank like a Bordeaux.
Bottle Two: Opened this after finishing the 2/3 bottle from night before. My guests wanted more so we opened the second bottle. This time there was less concentrated fruit and less plush nose up front, but wine opened over an hour into black fruit, licorice and black currant notes with a touch of tobacco. Very nice. Would have liked to see how it evolved in hours two and three but it didn't last that long!
Looking forward to drinking the magnum of this I still have. Will take time to savor that.

This bottle is much better than the last! So well rounded, still slightly tannic, so it has some life left to it, but its drinking very nicely right now! And that's on the PnP! It just keeps getting better though. Its fully hitting its stride! The tannins, acidity, fruit, its all there in harmony... these 2003 cabs worth the wait. Glad I have one more bottle left, and I'll be opening it at an appropriately good time... :)

Drank maybe 3 weeks ago, so I can't give it an honest rating, but I remember thinking 92+, maybe up to 94. Can't recall an accurate description, just glad I bought three bottles, with two left. At $40/bot (before shipping) I thought it was a good value wine for sure!

Fantastic. Raisins, currant, chocolate. Most of the tannins have mellowed out. The high %abv makes it pretty sweet. Long finish, coats the mouth well.
