  The “subtle violet flower” was too delicate to last; it dissipated. The “saffron notes” were, well, you know, not everyone likes saffron.
  
  Okay, the fruit was there... It was reasonably complex & interesting on the palate, but also ever so slightly bitter. And the tension? -the wine just seemed twisted up, unrelenting.
  
  Pinot, for me, floats, it’s mysterious & ethereal. This had something of a clunk. However, time may be kind to this wine.
