Lots of strong apple on the nose and palate with some pear or melon, semi sweet wine, full bodied. Finish has a taste of theway fireworks smell after being lit, gun powder, sulfur.

Very sweet nose -- almost like a dessert wine! Peach, pear, melon, honey, spice, light nuttiness. Med bodied, very plush. Off dry, low-med acidity, peach, melon, lots of pear, apple. Very long finish, orange peel and honey. Rich. Like it a lot.

From 375ml. This is very good. The fruit is muted, integrated, from age but still complex and interesting. Some honey, mineral, flowers but all commingled. Rich, dry, maybe a bit fat on the palate and lasting in the mouth. Could use more acid but the balance is good. Can't argue with an honest reflection of the vintage. Drink now.

A: Warm golden lustre N: Orange blossoms, wildflowers, nectarines and satsumas P: Nose is repeated here but more orange pith adding a bitterness. Acidity is high and body is full. Finish is short to medium. Alcohol 13%. Kind of bland
C: Had this in a Riedel Riesling glass which may have enhanced the acidity. The body on the wine was voluptuous....not quite oily like the pinot blanc. The acidity and fruit helped it out. $13 a bottle at Specs.

Very enjoyable, but once again a slightly watery finish detracted a bit.
