  50th anniversary bottling. Really nice and easy. Crisp and clean. I liked it a bunch though there was nothing too memorable.

  Quite expressive nose for a PG. Classic phenolic bitterness with citrus and green apple. Showed some tartaric crystal so for a wine this young probably minimal fining and filtration. Definitely a classic example.

  Pale lemon yellow in glass. Medium intensity on the nose. Lemon, flint and white peaches. Medium plus acidity and medium finish. Excellent week night wine.

  As far as Pinot grigios go, this is exceptionally high quality
  Pronounced and complex aromatics of white oeach, minerality, lemon zest and some bitter almond
  The sensation of sweetness on the palate due to the intense fruitiness
  Great acidity

  On the one hand this is a really good example of the varietal. It's full of flavour, unlike the insipid, mass produced PGs that thankfully I only experience if it's poured for me at someone else's house. On the other hand, this isn't a great value. There are fruity whites of comparable quality in Friuli and elsewhere for less money. So I quite like it and do occasionally buy it when I see it, but seldom more than a single bottle.
