Turning into that Nikolaihof Smaragd Gruner 06. Spiced pear fruit. Guava. Still lots of freshness. Day 2 and holding just fine for a 12 year old PG. under Stelvin Cap. Medium minus goldenrod color. When you dive in on the palate, with some more air, this falls right back into Pear Jellybean with mineral underlay.

perhaps this is my last bottle of 2007, unless something is buried in my cellar somewhere. after 2006 Adelsheim Pinot Blanc, this is an absolute joy to drink. pear jelly bean nose. pear and some wax. mineral and just a little flint in the aromas. perhaps taking in some sesame aromas from the asian noodles cooking up. it should make for a great pairing. english pea aromas (a la Gruner), violet notes too.

lean pear and mineral. a very vibrant nature, almost spritziness (spriteliness) to the palate. now open 4 hours and very tingly mineral. still a light cereal grain note to the palate. fantastic wine holding well. drink to 2019.
