  Trying hard to like this wine, has some oakiness/butteriness, but it has this atypical melony/grapefruity confusion going on...

  Opened this yesterday and it was just like "put me back!" so I just had a small bit and threw it in a cool dark place.
  
  Today it'll hang, but it still howls and screeches with searing citrus, somehow buffered by an incredible diversity of subtle soft and rich flavors, which are in turn complemented by myriad pithy, herbal and mineral nuances. Intense, long and buoyant, it coats and dominates the palate without any heaviness or sweetness, complex and very long. This has rare assertiveness, and really sticks up for the chardonnay name.
  
  Aromas: a study in lemons and apples, delicate white flowers, nougat, minty honey, peach pastry, gorgeous airy seabreeze, smoke and chalk dust
  
  Palate: super grippy, chalky; acid cuts, holds, twists; the texture and weight of fruit somehow offsets the intense acid and phenolic structure; it gets a little raucous as its many delicate nuances build into a whispering roar, but what beautiful noise, like stepping out of the car when you pull up to a remote trailhead
  
  Finish: flippin glorious
  
  This is quite clearly dope Chardonnay and will be much better in 5 to 10

  I was hoping to love this as much as their PNs, I don't. Its solid and certainly less weighty than many CA Chards but I don't feel compelled to grab more for $28 locally. Just as soon drink Cote Beaune Bourgogne Blancs for around the same cost.

  This citrusy and layered Chardonnay is a revelation at the $30 mark, period - so, pause - let's hear it for wine that costs less than a Domino's pizza order! More generally speaking, aside from 00 and a few others, I find Oregon Chardonnay to be too diffuse to be that interesting (i.e., like white Burgundy after hitting the snooze button a few too many times - I guess I woke up, but what was the point?). Still, this wine has a verve that is intriguing, at least in the short-term.
  
  Light yellow in color; medium in body; aromas of orange curd, lemon peel, and saline. Flavors of green apple, lemon peel, and key lime, with a zesty and round finish that carries hint of Brioche French Toast. 13% alcohol. This lacks the intensity to last long, so drink in next few years. (And offer this wine to your less obsessive friends, who will enjoy this bottle for what it is: a pure and delicious wine, plain and simple.)

  Ethereal, seamless, weightless intensity. This can certainly age & gain nuance. Incredible w/food, refreshes the entire palette, getting a couple more.
