I like it better than our standard chianti classico. More mature, not acidic. Absolutely worth buying a case. Top shelf delicious. Oaky, cherry, so balanced.

I forgot it in the freezer where the whole bottle froze through. Color: Medium ruby/carmine with a very slight brown hue. Nose: Cherries, Coca Cola. Mouth: Medium bodied. Still very fresh. Excellent expressiveness and length. Carpineto once again is punching way above its weight. I love the typicity. I guess the drinking window extends into the next 3 years. It is at its peak, now so why wait? The half full bottle after a night in the fridge (under "vacuum") is at least as good as in the first day. Hence 1 more point (before 91). I must restock. Bought at Denner.

Coravin by the glass. Aromas of cherry, leather, anise and dried herbs. Cherry, dried herbs, leather, anise and drying tannins on the palate. Finishes with good persistence. Medium to full bodied. Served with spaghetti and meatballs.
