This Syrah from Lewis Cellars is exceptional. This wine has a deep ruby/purple appearance, one swirl of the glass shows that it has some viscosity to it. The nose has bold yet delicate, blackberry compote, subtle leather, and nutmeg. On the palate it has a lot fresh dark fruit that leads to a finish of raw cacao and milk chocolate. The mouthfeel is smooth with powdery tannins and a grippiness that lingers sip after sip. I give this wine a 92 as it is honestly the best Syrah I’ve had. Someone who really loves Syrahs may rate it a 94. Keep Guzzlin’

Two-hour decant wasn't enough. This is a big wine that needs 6+ hours to show its true self. Better yet, hold until 2024+. Much potential.
